Read full description of the books The Whore and The Virgin:Fifteen-year-old Melanie Cottman's life in her small Los Angels town has been comfortable to say the least. As an only child, she's been able to avoid the trappings that so many young, black girls face. In fact, she'd been so sheltered that even after hearing stories about the hardships of other girls like her she still could feel no connection to them.
Everything changes when Melanie's parents get divorced and send her to spend the summer in Philadelphia with family. There, Melanie spends time with her cousin of the same age, Yolanda and her crew of friends, and it isn't long before she realizes just how much she has in common with them.
From the very first night in the new city Melanie is taken on a crash course in ghetto lifestyle, and she decides to use those lessons to prepare herself for what she's sure will result from her parent's divorce. Only this isn't a classroom, it's reality, and the situations she finds herself in go from bad to worse in a flash. The Whore & The Virgin follows these girls through one wild summer in which they learn a lot about each other, and even more about themselves. This is an unfiltered tale about what happens when young girls make all the wrong decisions for all the wrong reasons.

Read information about the authorCeet The Author hails from South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he began honing his craft as an artist as early as age nine. At fourteen he wrote a short story for his high school English class entitled “Summertime in my neighborhood”, and fifteen years later that story became the basis for Ceet’s first official release, 2009’s “The Whore and The Virgin.” The book became an instant hood classic and all of the positive feedback inspired Ceet to release his second effort, “A Dog’s Day” that very same year.
While gaining recognition as a writer Ceet then began pursuing another passion, filmmaking and videography. In 2010 he wrote, produced, and directed “The Wrong Few Brothas” movie/music video starring City Council and Jay Stars. Also in 2010 was the release of “The Dead End Movement”, a documentary about the Philadelphia community where Ceet was raised. After completing the documentary Ceet went on to produce and direct a number of independent film projects, including the “The BARZ freestyle series” and the “Dead End Cyphers”, as well as a number of music videos for artist in and around Philadelphia, including the 2012 street banger “The South Philly Anthem.”
Today Ceet continues to study his craft and pursue his dreams from his home in South Philly. He’s already released several more novels under his imprint BRP Entertainment, as well as several skits, web series, and music videos. With many more projects down the line Ceet shows no signs of slowing down.
